A Day of Splinters and Stubborn Trees

Bjorn here. Today's grand adventure? Trying to make Barrel Staves. Simple, aye? Wrong.

The great Britain East Forest bested me. Three times I marched in, axe in hand. Three times I was turned back, empty-handed. By what? Thorns? Goblins? My own two left feet? I'd rather not say.

Between my failed forays, I tried to craft with what little wood I had. The result? A pile of splinters and a sore thumb. Did manage a couple of decent walks around Britain, though. Explored a bit. So, not a total loss.

The barrel will have to wait. My pride needs a day or two to heal.
