Spent the whole blasted day at the forge by Minoc's north gate, trying to hammer out a decent gorget. Must've ruined a score of them before I finally got the temper right; the metal just wouldn't sing for me. At least the last one turned out sturdy enough to sell, so the trip to the mines won't be a total waste tomorrow.
