The Day the Trees Laughed

Spent the day in a proper battle of wits with the trees east of Britain. They won. Tried to get some lumber. Failed. Tried to craft some staves. Failed. Walked back to the forest. Got lost. Tried to craft again. Failed.

It was a cycle of failure, I tell you. I swear the oaks were moving when I wasn't looking.

Finally gave up on the whole endeavor and just went for a walk. Found a lovely little clearing I'd never seen before. So, a success in the end, I suppose. Just not the one I was looking for.
