Spent all morning hauling ore from that vein near the Minoc crossroads, just to burn through nearly all of it at the mine’s forge. My anvil saw more frustration than steel—three times my hammer slipped, and four I was short ingots. Finally managed to bang out one decent cutlass, but then ran my stock clean out. Back to the dark and the damp tomorrow, I suppose. At least the weight off my back bought me this ale.
