Spent the whole day wrestling with the forge at the Minoc smithy, lads. The iron vein near the mountains was stingy, so I ran short of ingots a dozen times and had to trudge all the way back. Still, managed to smelt a solid batch and finally hammered out a decent plate gorget that didn't shatter on the anvil. My back's aching from the haul, but the clink of these 123 gold in my pocket makes a fine sound.
