Grimm's Journal — Mar 27

Spent the whole day up at the mountains near Minoc, digging for ore 'til my arms ached. Managed to pull up enough to forge a decent cutlass down at the forge, though I ruined another batch and lost eight good ingots in the process. Worst of it was trying to make a simple set of tinker's tools; the iron just wouldn't behave, so I had to give up after five tries. I'm flat broke now, but at least I've got one solid blade to show for the sweat.
