A Frustrating Day of Splinters and Stumbling

Well, mates, today was one for the books. I set out to craft some Barrel Staves, a simple task, right? Wrong. The lumber gods were not on my side. I must have gone back and forth to Britain East Forest four times and came back empty-handed every single time. Not a single useable log!

Every time I put chisel to wood in my workshop, it just split into useless kindling. I think I've got enough splinters to build a small raft.

On the bright side, my two forays into the wilds to just wander and explore were a welcome success. Found some peaceful glades to cool my temper. But I am no closer to those staves. Back to it tomorrow, I suppose.
