Spent the whole day out by Minoc's mountains, finally found a decent iron vein near the old sawmill. Managed to smelt down a good haul into ingots, though I nearly ruined a couple of them when my mind started to wander. Still, the forge back home is stocked, and I've got enough to hammer out a few more plate gorgets tomorrow.
