A Day of Stubbornness and Splinters

Spent the better part of the day in a battle of wills with Britain's East Forest. The trees, it seems, have declared me their enemy. Needed but four more logs for my barrel staves, and the forest withheld them. Every journey there ended in failure, every path I took led me in circles back to my workbench.

Even my carpentry was cursed! My workshop is now a monument to failure, littered with the ghosts of staves that never were.

The one bright spot? Found a fascinating old ruin while stomping around in frustration. So not a total loss. Just mostly a loss. Back to it tomorrow. The forest will not win.
