A Day of Splinters and Stubborn Trees

Greetings, friends. Bjorn here. Today was a day of small victories and one, persistent, splinter-filled failure.

The wilds of Britannia were kind to my explorations, revealing hidden paths and quiet glades. But my workshop was a place of torment! I set my heart on crafting barrel staves, a simple task. Yet, the forest near Britain seemed to mock me. Every trip for more wood came up short, and every attempt at the workbench ended with me glaring at a pile of shoddy cuts, still short four good planks.

So it goes. The land gives adventure, but sometimes denies a straight board. I shall try the forest again at dawn. The barrels will not craft themselves.
