Spent the whole morning at the forge, couldn't get a decent blade to save my life—must've ruined ten good ingots before I gave up and trudged over to the Minoc smithy for a fresh anvil. Managed to smelt a bit of shadow ore I dug up east of town, but even that was fighting me today. Still, sold a couple of decent gorgets to the tanner and made enough coin to keep me in picks and ale for another week.
