When the ore veins run thin or the mountain needs a moment's rest, a wise miner doesn't just nap. Use the wait to practice a handy craft with the materials you've already got on you.

Practical Projects in the Mine

• Tailoring (0.0 Skill): Got spare cloth from loot? Sit on a crate and craft Bandanas (2 cloth each). They sell or use as simple headwear.
• Cooking (0.0 Skill): Packed an Unbaked Apple Pie? With zero skill, you can bake it into a proper Apple Pie right there for a hearty meal.
• Tinkering (-25.0 Skill): Carrying extra boards? Start whittling Axles (2 boards each). They're useless alone, but essential later for carts and tools.

Why Bother?

It turns dead time into gained skill. A few points in a craft can mean fixing your own gear or making a few extra gold coins when you surface. Every skill over 20 starts to open doors. Keep your hands moving.
