Well, spent all day in the mines near Minoc, broke my last good pickaxe on a stubborn iron vein. Had just enough skill to hammer the scraps into a decent shortsword, which I sold to old Ben at the forge for a pittance. My coin purse is empty again, but at least my arms are strong and my pack is full of ore for the morning.
