TITLE: Carpenter Grind: A Woodwork Odyssey BODY:
Well, that was a day. Or several. I lost track. I finally decided to stop wandering and actually learn something, so I planted myself at the carpenter's shop in Britain. I must have made a hundred practice bows. My fingers are practically made of splinters.
What went well? Honestly, the routine was nice. No monsters, no drama. Just me, some logs, and the satisfying thwack of the mallet. My skill's definitely gone up, and I'm lugging around 98 stones worth of... well, mostly kindling, I guess.
What went wrong? My coin purse is utterly empty. All that wood wasn't free, and I sold the bows for a pittance. Also, my brain is now the consistency of sawdust from the repetition.
Next up, I need gold, badly. Time to venture out, sell this "artisan's burden," and maybe hunt some easy prey near the crossroads. This craftsman life is peaceful, but a warrior needs to eat.
