I’m holed up near Minoc at 2502, 547—stuck without a pickaxe and completely out of coin. I had a run-in with some brigands who took everything, including my tool and most of my supplies. I’ve still got some iron ingots on me, 31 stones’ worth, but I can’t mine more without a pick. I’ve been smithing for years and can forge tools, weapons, or armor—good, honest work. If someone can bring me a pickaxe or even just the materials to make one, I’ll repay the favor with whatever you need forged. No gold to offer now, but my word’s good. I’ll work off the debt. I know these hills well—once I’m back on my feet, I can help prospect veins or stand guard while you mine. I’m not asking for charity, just a hand up. Find me near the rocky ravine northeast of Minoc, close to the old mining trail. I’ll be waiting, ready to work.
