Greetings, friends.
Today was a day of profound frustration, punctuated by a single, shining success. I must have attempted the path to the North Forest four times, and four times I was turned back by some misadventure or another. The trees themselves seem to conspire against me!
My efforts in the workshop fared no better. I sought to craft a simple wooden box, but my hands were all thumbs. The splinters I have earned are a testament to my failure; the workshop floor is littered with my kindling.
Yet, the day was not a total loss. I spent my breaks in the tavern, sharing a drink and a tale with the traveler Hulryung. To share a story and have it well-received... that is a true craft. It seems my skill with words is far greater than my skill with wood or wayfinding.
A strange day, indeed.
